The Inn at Wind Hill Ranch Offers Guests Luxury with a Texas Flair!

The Inn at Wind Hill Ranch offers guests common areas in which to lounge in addition to the privacy of your guest room.

The comfort of the living room is magnified by a native stone fireplace with a Bois D’arc wood mantle. A fully equipped kitchen and the dining room table allow for making and enjoying snacks, or even a meal. The library offers a couch or a desk and chair as a quiet hide-away for reading. There is also the convenience of wireless Internet access throughout the house. A TV and VCR-DVD player are available.

Outside you will find a beautifully landscaped patio with trellis is perfectly situated to enjoy refreshments while catching a sunrise or sunset. You are welcome to stroll over and snooze in the hammock by the waterfall pond. The Red Angus cattle and the Production Red chickens enhance the pastoral and restful feeling. If invited, the ranch dogs will happily join you on your strolling explorations or outdoor relaxing!

Each of the guest rooms at Wind Hill Ranch has original iron beds custom-made exclusively for the Inn. Three guest rooms have their own private bathroom, and 3 of the 4 bathrooms are equipped with Jacuzzi tubs. Every bathroom is stone-tiled with subdued lighting, helping create an atmosphere where you know you can unwind and refresh.

Thistle Suite
The antique-mantled fireplace issues your invitation to relax and reflect in the spacious but intimate Thistle Suite. Calmed by color schemes of cream and green, this room lets you choose reading by the dormer window, journaling at the writing desk, or lounging on the white iron bed.

Sweet Clover Suite
Handcrafted cypress shelves house a collection of fossils and arrangements of native flora in the Sweet Clover Suite, the lone guest room with a view of the barn – the hub of the working ranch. The hand-stitched embroidered quilt and colors of greens and winter wheat help create this tranquil space for quiet retreat.

Sage Suite
The only overnight room on the ground floor of the Inn, silvery tones of the Texas sage are found throughout Sage Suite. The early 1900’s hospital cabinet, the vintage World War II foot locker, the antique metal furniture and tea cart invite you to be at home in a room that has the feel of “down home.”

Blue Stem Suite
Named for the grass that is visible through the windows overlooking a rich pasture, the Blue Stem Suite reflects the airiness and vibrant freshness of the fields. Natural lighting and whimsical furnishings accentuate the shades of blues and greens in this delightful “room with a view.”

Prairie Flax Suite
The buttery warmth in hues of gold in the Prairie Flax Suite suggest the rays of shimmering sunlight on a Texas plain. The 1830’s camphor seaman’s chest is a reminder of those westward pioneers whose rest came so welcomed at the end of the trail.
